Summary

Imagine you've got a box full of information about your customers and you want to make personalised videos for each of them. The manual set up is like taking each piece of information one by one from that box and placing it in our Vidata production studio. It's a manual, straightforward way of providing Vidata with the information it needs to create personalised videos. But how exactly is this done? Let's take it a step further.

🧩 Detailed guide for operational staff: Manually importing data into Vidata

It all starts with your project configured on Vidata. To start generating videos, simply click on the generate button available on the platform.

A window will then appear, asking you to choose the project for which you want to generate videos.

Once you have selected a project, you have several options:

  1. Starter Files: This option allows you to download a matrix (.csv or .xlsx format). This matrix gives you the precise format of the file you need to supply for the project you have selected.
  2. Import: This option allows you to upload a file in .csv format to import a list of contacts.
  3. Customize: This option allows you to launch a one-off generation by manually entering the values to be used for the video.

When you use the "Standard import" option, a mapping screen appears after the import. This screen allows you to choose which column in the file will be associated with which variable in the video. If you are using the matrix, the fields will be automatically pre-filled for you.
